A tea ritual can be small: choose a cup, prepare the tea with attention and take a moment to taste it. You do not need an elaborate set of tools or a performance of a traditional ceremony. This is a practical everyday routine you can make your own.
Begin with the pack
Read the directions for the exact product. Note the amount of tea, water volume, temperature and time when the maker provides them. A tea bag, loose-leaf tea and a powdered drink can require different preparation. Do not transfer one recipe across all three.
For example, OSULLOC's Korean product page for Sejak loose-leaf green tea in a 40 g pouch recommends 70°C water and 1.5 minutes of infusion. That is a reference for that product, not a rule for every Korean tea.
Set out only what you need
Put your cup, tea and brewing vessel within reach. Loose leaf needs a way to separate the leaves from the drink. A bag needs room in its cup or pot. Powder needs the method of mixing specified on its pack. Choose tools that make these steps comfortable rather than collecting equipment before you know what you enjoy.
Make the first cup repeatable
Measure the portion and water when instructions give an amount. Use a timer for an infusion. Once it is ready, remove the bag or separate the leaves, rather than allowing the same leaves to sit in your cup indefinitely. Let the drink cool to a comfortable temperature before tasting.
Taste, then change one thing
Ask a simple question: would you like the next cup lighter, fuller or less intense? Record the preparation you used. On your next brew, adjust one variable rather than changing the portion, temperature and time together. A short note such as “same portion, shorter infusion” is more useful than trying to remember a general impression.
Keep any preparation or safety directions on the pack in place. A personal taste preference is not a reason to ignore the manufacturer's handling instructions.
Finish the ritual
Reseal the tea, clean the equipment and return it to its place. Follow the product's storage directions. For the Sejak reference above, OSULLOC advises keeping it away from high temperature and humidity and resealing after opening; other products may have different requirements.
